I always pictured myself with 3 boys. Well, that ain’t going to happen anymore, ha! When we found out our firstborn was going to be a boy, I was beyond excited. I grew up living next door to my 3 cousins so I already knew a bit about boys stuff and I love that there is no grey zone with boys (or men). It is black or it is white. No drama, aaah such a bliss.

What can I say about MY boy…

Jules has the kindest soul and I love him for that. He is tender and looks after his little sister with so much love and care. Building things (mostly lego) is his passion, he started to enjoy reading (the little autodidact) and loves to run around like a ninja or a pokemon. The first thing he asks when he wakes up is: “Where are we going today, mama?” He loves to be surrounded by his friends, I guess he takes after his parents on that one.

He is the typical first kid. He takes joy in pleasing others, but he still has a mind of his own and stands up for himself. But what I love most about him is the way he loves and shows his love. I truly hope that that will never change. His future partner is one hell of a lucky person, that I know for sure.

A few weeks back we went to the lakeside (yes, again) and he asked if Otis would come too. A few hours later we spent the afternoon with Liesbeth and her family and while the boys played and ran around, us parents, got the chance to catch up a bit.
